Driver seriously injured in Pottawatomie Co. crash
POTTAWATOMIE COUNTY (KSNT) - Two people were injured, one seriously, in a Pottawatomie County crash on Friday.
At 6:46 a.m., the Pottawatomie County Sheriff's Office was called to Highway 24 and Schoeman Road for reports of a two-vehicle crash. According to the sheriff's office, a passenger car was traveling east on Highway 24 when it lost control, crossed the center line and hit a westbound pickup truck.
The driver of the car was taken to a Topeka hospital for treatment of serious injuries. The driver of the pickup was taken to a local health center to be treated for minor injuries. Both drivers were wearing seat belts at the time of the crash, according to the sheriff's office.
The crash is currently being investigated, the sheriff's office reports.
