Entry for 2025 British Schools Championships Now Open
Entry is now open for the 2025 British Schools Championships which takes place on Saturday 8th and Sunday 9th March 2025 at the English Institute of Sport, Sheffield.
The hugely popular competition, which is expected to reach capacity in record time again this year, is a key development event for young judoka and is designed to gradually expose them to a British Judo national competition environment.
Competition Days:
Saturday 8th March 2025: Years 8 and 9, & Years 10 and 11
Sunday 9th March 2025: Years 6 and 7, Years 12 and 13, & Adaptive and Visually Impaired Judo.
Early Entry:
Early entry is now open with entry fees set at £35.00 per person before entry fees rise to £40.00 from Tuesday 11th February before entry formally closes on Friday 21st February 2025.
The event has a maximum capacity of 375 players per day, and we will open a reserve list if this total is reached.
How can I register?
Entry via the online system takes only a couple of minutes to complete and will ensure that your entry is processed correctly and the payment is processed immediately via our secure system.

When entering online please provide an email address for your school (form tutor or PE teacher) for us to provide results of the event.
Unfortunately, we cannot accept card payments from American Express cards.

Who is eligible to compete?
To enter the British School Championships, the judoka must have entered at least one regional schools’ competition or a minimum of 2 events at level 2 or above between September 2024 to March 2025.
This is a Level 3 Development event for all Academic Years and is not open to the following:
Any player who has won any medal at a British Pre-Cadet, Cadet, Junior or Senior Championships in December 2024.
EXCEPTION: Any medallist who won less than two contests IS eligible. This event is open to all school children who comply with the criteria above and hold a current valid licence of the BJA, Judo Scotland, NIJF, WJA, AJA or BJC.
