Alternate side parking suspended this weekend: Here’s when and why
NEW YORK (PIX11) – Drivers will catch a small break this weekend because of expected snow showers.
Alternate side parking will be suspended on Saturday to facilitate snow operations, according to 311. Parking meters however remain in effect.
Snow showers are expected to fall over New York City and New Jersey early Saturday morning but will bring less than an inch of accumulation.
The National Weather Service has issued a winter weather alert for Saturday and warns drivers to expect winter driving conditions.
Regular parking rules are expected to be in effect on Sunday.
