Posting on DIY On A Budget, a private Facebook group with 2.2 million members, alongside snaps of her home, Emmie penned: “Before and after of my council kitchen makeover.”
Thrilled with her kitchen’s overhaul, which is incredibly bold and bright, she continued: “I love it so much.”
Emmie later added: “It’s a council kitchen so you’re aware there are restrictions as to what can be altered and that the quality of the kitchen units are – the cheapest of the cheap so a revamp can make all the difference.
The DIY guru explained that she used colourful tile transfers to give her splashback an overhaul.
And to give her once beige cupboards a fresh new look, she used orange vinyl wrap.
Emmie gave her kitchen the epic makeover almost four years ago and confirmed it still looks as good as new.
Emmie told Fabulous: “It was all from Amazon and we wanted to do it on a budget because we haven’t bought the house yet and so can’t do anything big to it.
“I’d used vinyl before and figured it couldn’t be too hard.
“It was a bit of a nuisance but worth it – it’s due a refresh now because I’m bored of it but it’s still in pretty good condition today all these years later and hasn’t peeled at all!”
If you’re thinking about transforming your kitchen, Emmie stressed: “Honestly it’s really simple to do if you have patience.”
DIY fans react
