Loose Women star leaves Martin Clunes red-faced as she lets slip embarrassing story about his PANTS
MARTIN Clunes has been left seriously red-faced after a Loose Women star revealed a story about his PANTS on live telly.
The Doc Martin star, 63, was left with his mouth wide open after Linda Robson let slip a tale about them in hospital together.
Martin was sitting on the This Morning sofa when hosts Alison Hammond and Dermot O’Leary crossed over to Loose Women to find out what was coming up on the show.
Loose Women anchor Kay Adams declared: “Linda Robson has just told me a great story about Martin Clunes but I don’t have time to tell you. Sorry!”
But ignoring her, Linda, 66, spilled: “We were in hospital together!”
Turning red, Martin laughed: “She’s seen my pants!”
Giving him the thumbs up, Linda asked: “How’s your kidney stones and my gallstones?”
Martin replied: “All cleared up now thanks!”
But that wasn’t the end of it.
To make matters worse, the Men Behaving Badly legend was then dragged from This Morning and into the Loose Women studios as the show kicked off at 12.30pm.
Sandwiched between Kay, Linda, GK Barry and Jane Moore, he then found himself going into more detail about the incident.
Linda said: “I was in hospital with him. I was in A&E and there was a curtain between us and there was someone screaming next to me next door.
“I pulled back the curtain and there I was and there he was. I had gallstones and he had kidney stones!”
Laughing, Martin recalled the moment his surprised wife Philippa had stood between the curtains and realised he was next to the Birds Of A Feather star.
“I hadn’t noticed you, you hadn’t noticed me,” Martin said. “She was looking between the two [curtains] – it was like some rubbish sitcom!”
To make matters worse, Martin said Linda’s former Birds Of A Feather co-star Pauline Quirke appeared in hospital and began talking about his pants.
He revealed: “Pauline came in and was talking about my pants. ‘He’s got Calvins on!’ How dare you…”
Linda declared to the live studio audience and viewers at home: “Extra large they were as well!”
Martin had appeared on This Morning to talk about new thriller Out There. The six-part ITV series is based on the spiralling crime of county lines.
