Hyperoptic DOWN as thousands of customers left with no internet in major outage
INTERNET provider Hyperoptic is down as thousands of customers gave been left with no internet in a major outage.
Around 4,500 reports of issues had been filed for one of Britain’s most popular internet providers at 10.15am this morning from users across the UK, according to Down Detector.
Hyperoptic customers first experienced issues around 10am this morning[/caption]The firm said it is currently “working on a resolution” in a post on X.
Hyperoptic said: “We’re aware of some connection issues caused by technical problems with our servers.
“Our team is actively investigating and working on a resolution.
“Thank you for your patience and understanding—we’re committed to getting you back online as quickly as possible.”
76 per cent of those who reported issues on Down Detector said it related to their internet, with 20 per cent falling victim to a total blackout of services.
Five per cent reported issues connecting to Hyperoptic’s website.
Hyperoptic has since confirmed that the server issue has now been resolved.
In a post on X it said: “Good news.
“The server issue has been resolved, and all affected customers should now be back online.
“Our website remains temporarily unavailable, but we’re working to have it operational as soon as possible.
“Thank you for your patience and support—we truly appreciate it.”
However, many users commented underneath this post that the service was “still not working”.
As of 11:30am, there were still hundreds of reports that Hyperoptic is down.
