Coronation Street’s Simon Gregson could be forced to sell his HOME to settle £250,000 debt after money struggles
CORONATION Street legend Simon Gregson could be forced to sell his home following spiralling debts.
It’s being reported that the soap star, who has played Steve MacDonald since 1989, owes a whopping £250,000.

However, the actor, who is on a £150,000 Coronation Street salary, reportedly must now pay back a £250,000 loan he took from his own production firm.
According to the Mirror, the Manchester star and his wife Emma must repay Simon Gregson Productions a sum of £1,500 per month.
The outlet – who said they have seen the official papers – report that the couple have three years to pay back the debt, but if they fail to do so, it has been agreed that they will sell their family home.
The official papers read: “The Director had an overdrawn loan account of £252,824.
“The analysis also revealed that this money was removed from the Company’s bank account and paid into Mr Gregory’s joint bank account with his estranged wife.
“Therefore, any claim would be addressed to both individuals.”
Simon also owes £165,000 to HMRC and Coutts bank for a Covid bounceback loan.
The Sun previously revealed that Simon has two side hustles after he was slapped with the huge tax bill.

The much-loved soap star is paid a fee to show Coronation Street die-hard fans around the cobbled Weatherfield set.
Simon is also writing a children’s book to help pay off the £100,000 tax bill.
The popular actor was runner up in the 2021 series of I’m A Celebrity – Get Me Out of Here and supposedly earned a £250k appearance fee.
He later told Good Morning Britain that he did it because “the money is good” and it was “enough to get him out of trouble” comparing the fee to a “solid gold diamond goblet.”

It was then revealed that Charlotte Jordan, who plays Daisy Midgeley, had quit the cobbles.
