The kitchen lamp may not be a new trend, but it’s something home decor enthusiasts are beginning to pay a lot more attention to. The idea is that you kill the “big lights” and fill your space with soft, warm lamplight to create a cozy cooking and dining experience. Joanna Gaines is a huge advocate for the kitchen lamp and she created the perfect one for her Hearth & Hand with Magnolia spring collection — and she loves it so much that she put it on her own kitchen counter.
“I wanted to show you some of my favorite things this season,” Gaines said in a recent Instagram video where she shared a bit of the behind-the-scenes magic from a Hearth & Hand with Magnolia photoshoot. “This little lamp I currently have in my kitchen.”
The lamp is the Rustic Ceramic Mini Kitchen Lamp from Hearth & Hand with Magnolia. It’s a super simple design with a cream-colored ceramic base and fluted shade, but its petite 13.5-inch size makes it ideal for tucking into the corner of a countertop to give your kitchen that warm, cozy glow.

“Perfect little lamp for that awkward corner of my kitchen,” one Target shopper wrote in their review. “I’m going to order a rechargeable light bulb so I can use it without the cord. So excited to cook in my cozy kitchen.”
And it doesn’t have to go in your kitchen. As another reviewer noted, it also is small enough to go on the bathroom counter, too. “Grab it!” they wrote. “Very pretty! Good quality, a must-have! Adds a nice calmer touch to our bathroom instead of having a bright light on.”
You could also tuck it into a bookcase or use it on a nightstand. The small size means this lamp can go virtually anywhere (as long as there’s an outlet nearby)!
Grab this mini kitchen lamp from Gaines’ new collection on Target’s website and give your kitchen that warm and comforting vibe you’ve been craving all fall and winter.
