Students at Coxsackie-Athens CSD receive Apple Pencils
COXSACKIE, N.Y. (NEWS10)-- Students at Coxsackie-Athens Central School District Student Helpdesk will be getting a free Apple Pencil thanks to a county legislative grant. The Wayne Speenburgh Legislative Grant Program is helping the district enhance students' creative ability and learning.
School officials said Helpdesk students with 1:1 iPads will use the Apple Pencils and share tips with faculty and staff. The pencils help with writing, sketching, and drawing on iPads, all while giving a natural feel of using a pencil and paper.
“We are grateful for this generous grant,” Coxsackie-Athens CSD Superintendent Randall Squier said. “This new technology continues our commitment of opening new doors for creativity and innovation in the classroom. We thank the Greene County Legislature for investing in the growth of our student body.”
