The Traitors fans uncover MAJOR mistake in hit BBC show as they beg for format shakeup
VIEWERS of The Traitors have uncovered a major mistake in the hit BBC show as they call for a format shakeup.
Last week, The Traitors returned for the third-ever series of the popular show hosted by Claudia Winkleman, and now fans have spotted a flaw in the format of the show.

There is a huge catch though, because among the Faithful contestants hoping to win a cash prize of up to £120,000 are a group of Traitors who are there to sabotage the game, kill off the Faithful, and take home the cash.
With the Traitors picked and the Faithfuls confirmed, the game really got going in the third episode last week when a Traitor was figured out.
During this week’s first episode, which aired tonight (Wednesday, January 8), viewers were quick to uncover a huge mistake within the format of the show.
In every episode, once the Traitors have murdered a Faithful, all of the contestants arrive at the castle’s dining room for breakfast.
Arriving in small groups of two or three, it seems that the Traitors all arrive early on so they can see the reactions of everyone else as they figure out who was murdered.
Uncovering this huge flaw in the format, fans took to X to discuss.
“The last 2 that come through the door at breakfast are obviously Faithfuls. The Traitors usually have 3 names and for suspense they keep them until the last to enter at breakfast.
“I am surprised no one has ever mentioned this,” penned one person.
Another echoed: “If the Traitors just made a list of the last group to breakfast each day, they’d be able to work out who all the Faithfuls are.”
EASY WAY TO SPOT THE FAITHFUL PLAYERS
A third person then added: “What I do not get is if the Faithful used half their brains…. The last three back to Breakfast are all faithful as they are the ones who could be killed… So clearly they can tell Freddie isn’t one but…. They ignore this as always…”
While a fourth begged: “They really need to stop making the last two who turn up to breakfast, Faithfuls.”
And a fifth said: “There’s an easy way to work out who is/isn’t a Traitor – if someone is one if the final group to come into breakfast then they’re a Faithful.
“If someone never is in that group, they might be a Traitor. Do the contestants really not cotton onto this?”
How does The Traitors work and who hosts it?
The Traitors first launched in the UK in 2022, after the Dutch format was acquired by the BBC.
Claudia Winkleman is the show’s host, and has now hosted all three series to date.
How does it work?
It is a reality game show that involves 22 contestants, and some of them are chosen to be The Traitors.
The Traitors sees a group of contestants taking part in “the ultimate game of truth and deception”.
The group of contestants are competing for the chance to walk away with a huge cash prize.
While navigating through a series of challenges, the team are also tasked with figuring out who the Traitors are in the group (usually three contestants).
Each night, the Traitors gather to “eliminate” one of the Faithful, removing them from the competition
Meanwhile, the traitors can be “banished” if they’re successfully outed as a traitor by a faithful.
The winners of the show are either the Traitor who remains undetected or the Faithfuls if they successfully eliminate all the Traitors.
The prize sees the winner could get £120K.
While a sixth person begged for a format shakeup when they said: “The whole breakfast routine is insufferable. Just bring them all in at the same time and let them figure out who is gone.”
FOURTH EPISODE OF THE SERIES
In tonight’s episode, the three contestants who were chucked off the train in the first episode came back.
Fozia, Jack, and Alexander were brought back and put into cages hanging in the air for a trial.
The cast then had to gather coins in the woods to lower the cages and free the train people – but there was a twist because they could only choose two.
Sadly, Jack wasn’t picked so had to go home.
Each train person saved – Fozia and Alexander – could then gift a shield to someone.
