Ariana Grande Opts for an Unconventional Modern Square Toe Loewe Heel for The National Board of Review Gala 2025
Ariana Grande was dressed in head to toe Loewe to attend the The National Board of Review Gala. The event which took place at Cipriani on Jan. 7 in New York, and the “Wicked” star had fun with her footwear and opted for a pair of modern white heels from the designer.
Fresh off of the Golden Globes, which took place on Sunday, Grande arrived wearing a satin pastel pink gown, custom made for her by Loewe. The column dress featured barely-there spaghetti straps and an almost-backless design, which featured a small strap that sat gently across the singer’s back. A diamond necklace decorated her decolletage and sat above the gown’s square neckline, and she carried a long matching pink shawl that she around her arms and draped down to her feet.
As for her shoes, Grande opted for a pair of Loewe’s Toy leather stiletto pumps in white. The slip on high-heel pumps are made of a supple leather construction and feature a modern square toe, which peeked through the gown’s floor-length skirt.
Grande posed on the red carpet giving a glimpse into the backless design of her gown and a slit on the back of her dress allowed for the shoe’s heel to be visible, revealing the pumps’ unique architectural drop heel that measures about 3.5 inches. The shoes are also available in black, metallic silver, and more colors, and Grande’s white pair retails for $1,100. She paired the look with the designer’s Beaded Leather Mini Squeeze Bag, which she was spotted carrying outside of the venue.
Throughout the press run and to kick off awards season, Grande has been making more traditional footwear choices opting for satin Jimmy Choo pumps, custom made Gianvito Rossi pumps and an array of Louboutin heels, usually in pastel or white shades. However, the Loewe shoe choice is not much of a departure for the actress. The “Eternal Sunshine” singer wore a custom gown designed by Loewe’s creative director Jonathan Anderson to the 2024 Met Gala. The dress featured a sculpted bodice made entirely of mother of pearl and a flowing white skirt, accented with floral eye decorations.
Loewe has made a name for itself with innovative, modern designs, and the Toy pump added a splash of edginess to Grande’s more classic style choices as she continues her “method dressing” inspired by her “Wicked” character Glinda.
