Haunting moment dawn breaks over charred & smouldering Tinseltown as LA wildfires rage & officials warn ‘worse to come’
OFFICIALS in LA have admitted the raging inferno sweeping across the city is “zero per cent contained” and warned that the worst is yet to come in the devastating blaze.
Two people have been killed in the fires as tens of thousands of people have been forced to desperately flee their homes as dawn broke over the city.
Terrifying images showed how Tinseltown woke up to an apocalyptic fiery backdrop, as thick smoke helped block out the sun.
Four named fires erupted in Los Angeles – with the largest in the western neighborhood of Pacific Palisades starting on Tuesday.
Terrifying videos from locals showed the fires in areas like Pasadena and Malibu engulfing their homes as they desperately tried to flee.
This wildfire has been concentrated in the northern part of California’s largest city.

Affected areas have so far included to affluent neighborhood of Pacific Palisades, Hurst, Woodley and Eaton.
Two people have been confirmed dead in the Eaton blaze, according to Los Angeles county fire chief Anthony Marrone.
“We have over 500 personnel assigned, and unfortunately, we have two reported fatalities, two civilians,” Marrone said.
“We have well over 5,000 acres that have burned, and the fire is growing.”
Marrone added that the cause of their deaths was “unknown at this time.”
Hurricane-strength winds have caused the fire to spread quickly and meant firefighters were not able to use air support to control the blazes.
LA firefighters today made the terrifying admission that they remained powerless in their fight against the wildfire, according to local ABC affiliate KABC.
Officials said there was no possibility the horrifying blaze could be contained soon.
Rescue missions have turned to focus on saving lives as vast parts of the city have been placed under mandatory evacuation orders.
The already horrifying scenes could become even worse as 100 mile per hour winds are set to spread the blaze further today.
Weather forecasters think the “worst is yet to come” as a dry windstorm is expected to last for days.
Any attempts to control the blaze were also hit with a reported water shortage.
Firefighters were heard over the radio stating supplies in hydrants were running low, according to The LA Times.
One firefighter said: “The hydrants are down.”
Another reported: “Water supply just dropped.”
Horrifying aerial footage showed the massive scale of the wildfire last night.
The terrifying video was filmed by a passenger aboard a flight out of LAX Airport.
LA’s horror fires meant the city’s downtown area was met with a terrifying red sunrise, as the blaze continued to rage.
The Palisades fires have forced several celebrities to flee and leave their homes behind.
A-listers like Tom Hanks, Ben Affleck, and Miles Teller all have multi million dollar mansions in the wildfire’s zone.
Reality TV couple Spencer Pratt and Heide Montag – who met on The Hills in the noughties – were among those whose homes were destroyed.
Sources told TMZ that their family home was burnt to the ground after catching fire yesterday.
Thankfully, the pair and their two sons were able to safely evacuate earlier in the day, and were not there when the blaze broke out.
Star Wars icon Mark Hamill said he was evacuated from his Malibu home and went to his daughter Chelsea’s house in Hollywood with his wife Marilou and their dog Trixie.

TERRIFYING wildfires have swept through Los Angeles and have forced around 30,000 people to flee, including major A-list celebs.
The largest of the raging fires has hit the affluent Pacific Palisades neighborhood.
This area is home to some of LA’s wealthiest residents and their multi-million dollar pads.
Here are some of the stars who could be forced to evacuate the coastal area as authorities warn the “worst is yet to come”.
Tom Hanks
The movie legend, 68, and his wife Rita Wilson, 68, own a $26 million mansion in the neighborhood.
They reportedly bought the sprawling 14,513 square-foot house in 2010.
Ben Affleck
The actor, 52, reportedly bought his $20.5 million bachelor pad on the same day as his now ex-wife Jennifer Lopez’s birthday.
His 6,200 square-foot property, which sits on an acre of land, is near the desired Pacific Palisades area.
Mark Hamill
The Star Wars legend revealed he was evacuated from his home in Malibu.
Hamill, 73, said he fled to his daughter Chelsea’s house in Hollywood with his wife Marilou and their dog Trixie.
Miles Teller
The actor, 37, and his model wife Keleigh Sperry, 32, own a $7.5 million mansion.
This couple purchased their 6,622 square-foot LA home in March 2023.
Jhene Aiko
The singer, 36, reportedly lives in her $5.6 million Pacific Palisades home with her rapper boyfriend Big Sean, 36.
Aiko’s five bedroom and five bathroom home sits on half an acre of land in the affluent area.
Ralf Moeller
Gladiator star Ralf Moeller told German newspaper Bild he had fled his home and had never seen anything like it in his 30 years living in the US.
He said: “The hot desert winds blowing at speeds of more than 60 kilometers per hour are fanning the flames like a hairdryer held over the hot embers.”
Alabama and Landon Barker
The children of drummer Travis Barker revealed they were forced to evacuate their LA home.
Alabama, 19, told her followers: “They are saying the fire are spreading football field amounts in seconds.”
Spencer Pratt and Heidi Montag
The reality TV couple revealed the heartbreaking news that their home had been completely destroyed by the wildfire.
They were able to flee their $3 million mansion with their two children in time.
Eugene Levy
Actor Eugene Levy, known for his role in the American Pie films and Schitt’s Creek TV show, found himself stuck as he tried to flee.
He told the LA Times: “The smoke looked pretty black and intense over Temescal Canyon… I couldn’t see any flames but the smoke was very dark.”
