New café opening in downtown Saratoga Springs
SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- The founder of PDT Catering is opening up a café in downtown Saratoga Springs. Chef Adam Foti is set to open PDT Maison at 35 Maple Avenue in the former Farmers Hardware building.
"We’re always asked by guests at parties or at food truck events where they find us on a regular day," said Foti. "Right now, you would need to order food for catering trays or schedule a party. What excited us about a cafe was that we can offer our food to people and still do full-service events like weddings and galas."
PDT Maison will serve European-inspired lunch and brunch, said Foti. The menu will have mainly soup, salads, sandwiches, and more. For weekend brunch, the café will have staples like eggs benedict, French toast, crepes, croque monsieur, and quiche.
Foti said the brick building on Maple Avenue has three floors. Guests can order on the first floor, and sit there, on the patio, or on the third floor. PDT Maison will also be available for private parties.
Foti said he's hoping PDT Maison will be open by March. The café is set to be open Wednesday through Monday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., serving lunch during the week and brunch on Saturday and Sunday.
Foti founded PDT Catering in 2013 and moved operations from Troy to Malta in May 2024. He previously opened PDT Market (now Franklin Square Market) in downtown Saratoga Springs in March 2023. He later left to focus on PDT Catering.
"We’re excited to bring this cafe to life and to see familiar faces," said Foti. "We’re excited to meet new folks that might not have had the opportunity to experience what we do."
