Stars Who Live in Pacific Palisades: Celebrity Homes at Risk Amid Fire
Firefighters are currently battling a terrible fire across Los Angeles, including the Pacific Palisades neighborhood, prompting many families to be forced to evacuate, and sadly causing major damage and destruction of homes.
The Palisades fire is threatening to take over densely populated areas in Los Angeles, where some stars’ homes are directly in the path of the destruction.
NPR reports that three large fires erupted near residential areas, and have quickly grown to cover more than 5,600 acres. The fires in Southern California were at 0% containment as of Wednesday morning (January 8).
The Palisades fire is blazing through about five football fields a minute and has burned more than 2,900 acres, CNN reports.

Tom Hanks, Ben Affleck, Steven Spielberg, Reese Witherspoon, Michael Keaton and Miles Teller are among those living in the area, via TMZ.
Chet Hanks, the son of Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson, spoke out in concern on Instagram Story, writing: “The neighborhood I grew up in is burning to the ground rn [right now]. Pray for the Palisades.”
Mark Hamill said on Bluesky that he was fleeing: “Personal Fire Update: 7pm-Evacuated Malibu so last-minute there small fires on both sides of the road as we approached PCH. 8:15 pm- Marilou, Trixie & I arrive at Chelsea’s house in Hollywood Most horrific fire since ‘93 ????????STAY SAFE! ???? ???????? there “were” small fires (gimme a break- we were fleeing for our lives)”
Eugene Levy was also forced to evacuate. He told the Los Angeles Times about what he saw while he was stuck in the traffic along with other fleeing residents evacuating the Pacific Palisades neighborhood.
“The smoke looked pretty black and intense over Temescal Canyon. I couldn’t see any flames but the smoke was very dark.”
James Woods wrote on X: “To all the wonderful people who’ve reached out to us, thank you for being so concerned. Just letting you know that we were able to evacuate successfully. I do not know at this moment if our home is still standing, but sadly houses on our little street are not.”
Mandy Moore has also evacuated, writing on her Instagram Story: “Evacuated and safe with kids, dog and cats. Praying and grateful for the first responders.”
Spencer Pratt and Heidi Montag tragically lost their house in the fire.
