UCLA’s Mick Cronin goes of on team after lopsided loss: ‘It’s really hard to coach people who are delusional’
By ADAM ZAGORIA
UCLA coach Mick Cronin went off on his team after the No. 22 Bruins’ lopsided 94-75 loss at No. 24 Michigan.
You’ll rarely hear a coach in any sport speak like this.
“We’re soft,” he said. “… Every day, I have more passion and energy in practice than anybody else. I’m tired of it. It’s a joke… The truth of it is, it’s really hard to coach people that are delusional. The hungry dog gets the bone.
“We’ve got guys who think they’re way better than they are. They’re nice kids, they’re completely delusional about who they are.”
