Big Amanda Staveley update emerges amidst Spurs investment links
The latest update regarding Amanda Staveley is one that will get Tottenham fans excited as rumours circulate about a potential investment into Spurs.
Amanda Staveley spearheading Spurs investment talks
Over recent months, we have heard a lot of reports regarding the talks between Staveley and Daniel Levy regarding a minority takeover of Spurs.
The former Newcastle co-owner, through her investment vehicle PCP Capital Partners, is thought to have raised around £500m so far, in an effort to buy a 25 per cent stake in the North London club.
There has not been any indication over recent weeks that the parties are close to an agreement, but Staveley has now reportedly taken a big step which could be significant in this regard.
Staveley in talks with Qatari investors
According to CityAM, the former Newcastle co-owner is in talks with ‘Qatar investors about investing in another Premier League club’ at the moment.
TBR Football relays this information and explains that according to the financial experts they have consulted, Tottenham are the only Premier League side that Staveley has a ‘serious interest’ in.
The same outlet also suggests that the reference to ‘Qatari investors’ could mean that Staveley’s partners are likely to be private individuals as opposed to a sovereign wealth fund.
What Staveley has said about future investment
In a recent media appearance, Staveley strongly hinted that there might be big news regarding PCP investing in a new club, although she refused to reveal too many details.
She said last month: “Yes, we’re looking at a number of investment operations. We can’t say too much at the moment because of you know, rules around it. But we will be able to talk about it, hopefully in the not-too-distant future.”
TBR Football speculates that Staveley and Spurs might have a non-disclosure agreement (NDA) in place that prevents either party from talking about the specifics of the deal being negotiated.
