Cowboys Get First Big 12 Win Over Kansas State
Oklahoma State's men's basketball team ended a seven-game Big 12 losing streak and beat Kansas State 79-66 on Tuesday night at Gallagher-Iba Arena in Stillwater.
OSU's 13-point margin was their widest for a Big 12 win since a 16-point win over Oklahoma on January 18, 2023.
The Cowboys were outshot and outrebounded by the Wildcats, but outscored K-State 31-14 off turnovers and made nine 3-pointers to just three for the Cats.
Abou Ousmane led OSU with 27 points on 11-for-15 shooting.
Marcelus Avery added 13 points and Bryce Thompson 10.
Kansas State outshot OSU 51 percent to 47 percent from the field and outrebounded the Cowboys 30-29.
K-State committed 19 turnovers to just 12 for OSU.
The Cowboys have won five of their last six against Kansas State in Stillwater.
Kansas State has lost 13 straight road games.
OSU improves to 9-5 on the season, 1-2 in Big 12 play.
The Cowboys visit Utah for a 6:00 tipoff on Saturday.
