He told The Mirror: “You can never take it for granted and you never know until you get your next contract.
“I am a terrible worrier. I find myself driving home muttering lines trying to remember how I played them out.
“I am a bit neurotic in that way but Emmerdale is such a great show to work on.”
Among the recent exits is Daisy Campbell, who had played Amelia Spencer since she was eight years old.
The actress, 21, announced in October 2024 that bosses had decided to write her out after 13 years.
She explained: “It wasn’t my choice to leave Emmerdale and it was a shock at first.
“Being in Emmerdale is all I’ve ever known. I’ve spent the whole of my childhood growing up in the soap and it felt daunting.”
Fans were stunned when Will Taylor (Dean Andrews) was written out over Christmas after suffering a fatal heart attack.
Meanwhile, actor Dean later took to Instagram to address his departure.
He told how he was on the soap for five and a half years and loved working with “his little family on Emmerdale” who are “really lovely people” as well as the “amazing crew.”
Dean added it is now time to “move on”, is looking forward to 2025 and shared his hopes to work on the big screen, or do adverts or voiceover work.
Paula Lane and Roxy Shahidi are among expected departures in the coming months.
Former Coronation Street star Paula debuted in Emmerdale at the start of 2024, playing Ella Forster.
