$15M in funding for EV charging stations on SUNY campuses

ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- Electric vehicle chargers will be appearing on SUNY campuses after a recent round of funding. Senators Chuck Schumer and Kirsten Gillibrand announced $15 million in federal funding for the project.
They said the goal is to install up to 350 EV charging stations to campuses across New York. The money comes from the U.S. Department of Transportation's Charging and Fueling Infrastructure Grant program.
A timeline for the installation process has yet to be announced.
