New candidate enters race for Glens Falls mayor
GLENS FALLS, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- A Glens Falls Common Council member has announced she will be running for the mayor of Glens Falls. Diana Palmer has been on the common council for seven years and represents the 3rd Ward.
She said in her candidacy announcement, in-part, "I believe government works best with the people, not just for them. Our city’s growth, vibrant events, and unique character are powered by business leaders, volunteers, investors, and advocates. Government should be a partner—supporting and empowering those who build, restore, and invest in Glens Falls."
Her opponent will be incumbent Mayor Bill Collins. He announced his run for re-election in December. He's been in office since 2022.
