Austin Butler and Kaia Gerber ‘split’ after three years of dating after relationship ‘ran its course’
ELVIS actor Austin Butler has split from Kaia Gerber after three years.
According to reports, the pair’s relationship had “run its course”, with them ending things on good terms and having “no bad blood”.
Sources have told TMZ that the couple ended their romantic relationship at the end of 2024, with them stepping into 2025 as single people.
But despite the couple splitting, they have kept things on good terms with there being “no bad blood” between them.
The outlet reports: “The relationship just simply ran its course after a good three years together”.
Austin, who played Elvis in the hit movie, started dating Kaia, who is a famous model, in 2021.
In 2023, engagement rumors were rife when Austin helped Kaia move into a new home, despite it not being known if they were living together.
The rumors were ramped up even more at the time when gossip site Deuxmoi claimed Austin proposed to Kaia in April of that year.
But a source close to the couple soon spoke out and confirmed that the couple were NOT engaged.
Although the couple started dating in 2021, they did not go public with their romance until the following year.
Austin and Kaia went public with their relationship at the Met Gala in 2022.
And at the 2022 Cannes Film Festival, the pair smooched in front of the cameras.
Kaia was also firmly by Austin’s side when he won a Golden Globe award for his performance in the hit movie Elvis.
A year ago in February 2024, Kaia spoke to WSJ. Magazine about her romance with the actor and even touched on why they keep things lowkey.
She told the magazine: “Honestly, I feel like so few things in my life are private, and that is one of the things that I try to keep as sacred as possible.”
And less than a year ago in May 2024, things seemed all rosy between the pair when a source told People: “Kaia and Austin are going strong.”
I don’t think there’s anything I want to share about that. But thank you for providing the space.

Speaking to the outlet at the time, the source said: “They held hands the entire way to dinner and stopped and hugged a few times before going into a club [on May 24].”
In a previous interview, Austin made sure not to spill anything about his relationship.
Asked about Kaia during an interview with GQ in 2022, Austin cryptically replied: “I don’t think there’s anything I want to share about that. But thank you for providing the space.”
