Sydney Sweeney Dresses Down in Combat Boots While Filming the ‘The Housemaid’ in New Jersey
Sydney Sweeney blended feminine and masculine sartorial pieces while on set for the upcoming film “The Housemaid” on Jan. 6 in Montclair, New Jersey, exuding a cool girl-next-door vibe.
Sweeney stars in Paul Feig’s adaptation of Freida McFadden’s thriller novel of the same name, which follows a struggling woman starting life anew as a maid for a wealthy family. The “Anyone But You” actress was seen on set wearing a long black skirt featuring a dainty blue floral design; her outfit also included a dark jacket with a slightly oversized fit. Her blonde hair looked like it was freshly taken out of braids, framing her face in cascading waves.
A pair of classic black combat boots rounded out Sweeney’s look. The shoes appeared to be made of a leather or leather-like material with the silhouette including a shaft, a rounded toe and a short block heel. Black laces woven through eyelets tied the look together. She wore the shoes with dark gray that rose above the shaft, creating an en vogue layered aesthetic.
Though her shoes lacked the telltale yellow stitching of a Dr. Martens boot, the brand is one of the most popular creators of combat boots, remaining a go-to company through the years for youth and older generations. A style like Sweeney’s can be found from an array of other brands, be it Thursday Boot. Co, Isabela Marant or Gap.
Sweeney stayed cozy in December wearing a Gucci Fair Isle sweater with a pair of white Amina Muaddi boots, a set from the celebrity-loved brand she’d previously worn while in New York City last month. She might also slip on a pump when the time is right, whether she’s stepping out in the city on a Saturday or showcasing a formal red carpet look at a film festival. She starred in a summer 2024 campaign for Jimmy Choo and is also an ambassador for Crocs Inc.’s HeyDude.
