Moreau Transfer Station begins electronic recycling
MOREAU, N.Y. (NEWS10)-- Residents of Moreau can now safely recycle electronics at the local transfer station. Town officials announced the electronic recycling program on Tuesday.
Residents can recycle electronics for free through transfer station attendants, who will guide them to the drop-off location. Below is a list of acceptable and non-acceptable items.
Acceptable items
- Batteries (rechargeable)
- Business machines
- Cables and IT accessories
- Cameras
- Computers Below is and computer peripherals
- Copiers
- Electronic scraps
- Fax machines
- Fluorescent lamps
- Gaming devices
- GPS units
- Lab and medical electronics
- Laptops
- Mainframe/ midrange
- Mobile devices (cell phones, tablets, and MP3 players)
- Monitors
- Networking gear
- Phone systems
- Power supplies
- Printers and ink, toner, and cartridges
- Routers and switches
- Scanners
- Scientific equipment
- Security equipment
