‘Real reason’ Scott Thomas has signed up for Love Island All Stars nine years after Kady McDermott romance
SCOTT Thomas’ “real reason” for signing up to Love Island All Stars has been “revealed.”
The Manchester lad, 36, is the eldest singleton in the 2025 show cast, which was first announced by The Sun.
He first starred in the ITV2 reality series with ex Kady McDermott back in 2016[/caption] Scott’s health and fitness firm with brother Adam, left, collapsed last year[/caption]Back in November, we previously exclusively told how Scott – who starred in Love Island‘s second season back in 2016 – was being lined-up for the ITV2 matchmaking series.
Now the PR company owner’s reasoning for signing up has come to light, with a source admitting the collapse of his completely separate health and fitness business played a role.
They told us: “All Stars came along at the perfect time for Scott as he’s had a lot of stress with his business collapsing.
“Not only is it a payday for him going on the show, but it helps boost his profile for future business ventures.
“Scott’s a grafter, so he always has something else up his sleeve.”
It was revealed in April that Scott’s company Food4Thoughts, which he started in lockdown, had gone into liquidation.
His Strictly Come Dancing star brother Adam had invested in the company over the past four years as Scott aimed to build a business empire around food and fitness.
Scott set up the firm with airline pilot Eden Thomas, but he resigned from his director position late last year.
Unfortunately, after its collapse, Adam was left £125,000 out of pocket.
Scott stands to lose £70,000 of his own money, while Scott Graham – a friend of the brothers and former chef at restaurant The Spinn – put in another £125,000.
HMRC was owed £20,000 in unpaid tax bills, with company staff owed around £7k.
Scott pulled the plug on the project after the trio couldn’t afford to put anymore money into the business.
Insiders say the firm ran out of money after failing to attract enough members who paid up to £100-a-month for fitness, weight loss and nutrition tips.
The most recent accounts filed last year showed the company – called F4Thoughts Ltd – had creditors of £366,143 – including investors and the tax office – and with assets and cash reserves taken off, the outfit was £299,487 in the red.

Bombshell rumours
Each series brings with it string of hot single bombshells making their epic entrance into the villa.
Here’s who is rumoured to be going into the villa so far:
- Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu – season 8 (2022).
Our source said: “The concept was great and members loved it but the firm needed more people and they weren’t signing up and Adam and Scott simply couldn’t commit any more cash to the venture.”
LOVE ISLAND LEGACY
Yet after a tough 2024, Scott will now be hoping for a happier chapter during his All Stars stint.
The northern lad, who has quit partying and booze since his Love Island debut, still heads up a successful PR agency.
Yet he will be leaving his clients temporarily for the South Africa sunshine.
An insider previously told us: “Scott is way more mature than he was when he first appeared and wants to show the world a new side.
“He thinks it would be a great way to publicise his podcast and his company.
“He also thinks it could be a lot of fun, and would love to find real romance.”
Scott, whose ex Kady McDermott returned to the villa as a bombshell in 2023, has previously revealed he regrets turning down the chance to appear in All Stars this year.
Scott, who split with Kady after a year in 2017, said: “I was gutted I didn’t do it in the end.
“They asked me to and I was thinking, ‘I’m too old’. I think I would’ve been the oldest in the villa, because I was 27 when I did it the first time in 2016.
“And it’s funny, because Kady went back on last year and she was the same age that I was when I did it the first time.”
