Furious Love Island All Stars fans call Curtis Pritchard ‘the biggest ick’ as he ditches his girlfriend TWICE for fame
LOVE Island star Curtis Pritchard is being called “the biggest ick” by furious All Stars fans, after he ditched his girlfriend for a second time in a bid for fame.
The ballroom dancer, 28, is part of the legends line-up taking part in All Stars season 2.
The pro dancer first found fame on the show in 2019[/caption]The 2019 Islander, who is also known for the Irish version of Strictly Come Dancing, has arrived in South Africa ahead of the launch on Monday.
Curtis‘ appearance on All Stars took many fans by surprise as he had seemingly been in a happy relationship with Sophie Sheridan.
However, it has seen been revealed how they broke up ahead of him going on Love island All Stars.
A source said: “Curtis split from Sophie a few months ago after the pair decided they were better off as friends.
“The romance had run its course and Curtis couldn’t see the relationship going any further.
“It came at the right time, as Love Island bosses were also desperate to get him back on the show for All Stars.
“When Curtis was approached by bosses, he jumped at the chance of returning.
“He’s newly-single and loves being on telly, so getting the chance to be back in the villa and to find love again was a no brainer.
“He loved doing Love Island first time around and now that he’s single it’s come at a great time for him.”
The pair have since deleted any trace of each other from their Instagram.
It’s now come to light that he reportedly dumped Sophie right before he went on Love Island Games as well.
Taking to X/Twitter one fan made a claim this was the second time he had split from her in a bid for screen time.
The fan posted: “Curtis Pritchard dropping his girlfriend Sophie TWICE for love island games and now love island all stars is the biggest ick.
“What a fame hungry selfish man. Also she’s a fool for getting back with him the last time.
“Good luck to whoever couples up with him on the show.”
Meanwhile, last week The Sun revealed how Curtis’ ex-girlfriend Maura Higgins, who he met in the villa in 2019, is worried he’ll spill the beans on their eight month romance.
Maura is now seeing Strictly Come Dancing‘s Pete Wicks and spent the Christmas period with him in Ireland.
An insider said: “Her break-up with Curtis wasn’t the best and Maura always worried he’d be the ex that could blab.
“It’s also less than ideal when she’s hoping to build on her I’m A Celebrity profile and advance her career.”
Love Island: All Stars launches in Cape Town, South Africa, on Monday, January 13.
