A Traitors legend has slammed bosses for a huge rule change[/caption] Paul Gorton has said the format to the show’s finale ‘didn’t need tampering with’ after the shakeup was announced[/caption]But while the game is well underway, some fans and past contestants had called for the format to be refreshed.
However, one show legend has hit out at BBC bosses for changing an element of the finale.
Unlike the previous years, those who make it to the final will no longer reveal their true identities when they leave.
It means the finalists will have to rely solely on their instincts before they decide to end the game.
But for series one two star Paul Gorton, he’s accused bosses of ‘tampering’ with the finale.
When asked for his thoughts on the change by a fan, the former contestant replied: “Don’t like it, I didn’t think the final needed tampering with.”
Paul continued: “It’ll never be just a walk off, there’s facial expressions and body language that may make it intriguing.
“Let’s see how it plays out.”
Meanwhile, The Sun on Sunday revealed how three axed contestants will be brought back to the castle in another twist.
Viewers will see ex-British diplomat Alexander, 38, outreach manager Fozia, 50, and market trader and landscaper Jack, 24, make a dramatic comeback.
They sacrificed themselves in last week’s first episode when they all volunteered to get off the train headed to the Scottish castle set.
But they will return to the BBC One show when it resumes on Wednesday.
How does The Traitors work and who hosts it?
The Traitors first launched in the UK in 2022, after the Dutch format was acquired by the BBC.
Claudia Winkleman is the show’s host, and has now hosted all three series to date.
How does it work?
It is a reality game show that involves 22 contestants, and some of them are chosen to be The Traitors.
The Traitors sees a group of contestants taking part in “the ultimate game of truth and deception”.
The group of contestants are competing for the chance to walk away with a huge cash prize.
While navigating through a series of challenges, the team are also tasked with figuring out who the Traitors are in the group (usually three contestants).
Each night, the Traitors gather to “eliminate” one of the Faithful, removing them from the competition
Meanwhile, the traitors can be “banished” if they’re successfully outed as a traitor by a faithful.
The winners of the show are either the Traitor who remains undetected or the Faithfuls if they successfully eliminate all the Traitors.
The prize sees the winner could get £120K.
