‘Seek therapy’ cries stunned photographer as she rejects X-rated shoot request from a man and his MUM
A PHOTOGRAPHER has told of her shock after being asked to shoot a racy session for a guy and his MUM.
Robyn Allan specialises in raunchy boudoir snaps and deals with all kinds of unusual situations and queries.

A son got in touch and wondered if she would capture X-rated images of him and his mother in saucy poses at her business Robyn’s Boudoir Photography.
Robyn, from Perth, said: “I was thrown a little bit by this.
“It was a very weird request – one I hope I don’t get this year. Weird and wrong.
“There are so many words I could use. As soon as I realised what he wanted I noped right out there.
“My advice would be to go and seek therapy.”
Robyn, Scotland’s top-rated boudoir snapper, revealed the adult man got in touch out of the blue and told him his mum was very sick.
He claimed that one of her wishes was that she got explicit photos done with her boy before it was too late.
In his email he alleged that they had done this before, so Robyn asked to see the pictures.
She said: “Over the years I’ve learned to always make sure we are on the same page about what I find acceptable to photograph.
“Everybody’s benchmark of what is sexy is different. I get some women who wouldn’t even want to show a lot of cleavage. Then I get some who want to take their tops off.
“Because he said they had photos done before I wanted to see them to try and find his benchmark.
“That was my mistake. They were not for the fainthearted.”
Robyn admitted she was gobsmacked by the shots that were sent over.
She said: “The images were X-rated. Completely naked – and there was touching.
“I would never consider doing a job like that. The images I capture are tasteful and suggestive.
“I’m asked daily if I’ll capture couples ‘in the act’ and it’s just not something I have any interest in doing.”
Despite being a bit stunned by the photos that were sent over, Robyn did not over-react.
She revealed that she stayed professional, but most definitely turned down the work.
Robyn said: “I advised him that his mum was a beautiful woman and wished them good luck.
“Especially her as he had said she was unwell.
“I’m a small business owner. I always feel like I’m being tested in my business in some way sometimes.
“I’m stuck between a rock and a hard place at times. I certainly wanted to respond in a different way.
“But I’m always trying to be professional and polite even when I don’t want to be professional and polite.”
Robyn was astonished when, six weeks later, a similar enquiry for another mum and son shoot came through.
She’s not sure if they were connected because the approach used different names and came from a completely different email.
Robyn said: “I honestly don’t know if it was a coincidence because what are the chances of that happening?
“After five years in business it’s safe to say a mother and son shot is the weirdest enquiry I’ve had. But there have been a lot of odd requests.
“The weirdest has become so normal now. Not a week goes by without some off the cuff request.
“I suppose it keeps the working week interesting.”
But despite the unusual approaches Robyn revealed she loves her job and everything that it throws at her.
She said: “I absolutely adore it.
“I get to spend my week surrounded by beautiful ladies in underwear. And I make them feel good about themselves. I’m truly living the dream.”
