Reminder: Expressions of interest sought for Nominations Advisory Committee

Dear Golf Club Committee Members and Golf Ireland Volunteers,

Golf Ireland are now seeking expressions of interest for volunteers to serve on the Nominations Advisory Committee.

As a company limited by guarantee, Golf Ireland is led by a Board of Directors comprising of six members selected by its regions and a Chairperson and six Nominated Directors selected by the Nominations Advisory Committee. A Board rotation process is in place and the organisation is committed to maintaining 40:40 gender balance on the Board, in line with government requirements. The principal role of the Nominations Advisory Committee is to select candidates with the required skills and experience for appointment to serve on the Board of Directors as Chairperson or Director. Volunteers selected to serve on the committee will likely be required to attend one or two meetings annually, to review the expressions of interest for vacant Board Positions and make the necessary nominations. The composition of the Committee will be an independent Chair and four members, at least two of whom must be independent of Golf Ireland. At least two of its members will be female and at least two male. The term of office will be two years initially, which can be extended by a further two years.
