FoxRun residents in new homes, investigation ongoing
CLIFTON PARK, N.Y. (NEWS10) – The investigation into that Christmas Day fire at an apartment complex in Clifton Park is still ongoing. However, the people displaced by the fire have all been relocated.
The 32 FoxRun residents who woke up to a fire early Christmas morning have all moved into new homes.
According to a spokesperson for the property management company, The Solomon Organization LLC, 19 of the 22 impacted units have been relocated within the complex.
The fire in building 23 broke out at 2:40 A.M. on Christmas morning. No one was seriously injured, but residents said their kids and pets were traumatized by the event.
The fire is still under investigation, but preliminary reports suggest a water leak was present above the main electrical panel in the building.
Most of the displaced residents had stayed at a local hotel while they were scrambling to find housing. The last resident staying at the hotel checked out Monday morning.
We continue to reach out to FoxRun residents about their experience, since that fire broke out, and will follow-up on any updates as to what caused the fire.
