Shawnee County trash pickup schedule changes, what to know
TOPEKA (KSNT) - A Shawnee County trash collection service is altering its pickup services this week after a major snow storm hit northeast Kansas over the weekend.
Shawnee County Solid Waste announced on Jan. 6 through social media that people in the county can expect some changes to trash collection services for the week ahead. Homeowners scheduled to have their trash and recycling picked up on Monday will have to do without such services for the time being.
"As many of you are aware, the road conditions in the residential areas are not good. We are postponing operations to give the road crews another 24 hours to help out with the situation."
