Ground delays at JFK, LaGuardia, Newark due to snow: FAA
NEW YORK (PIX11) – New York airports saw delays Monday afternoon because of snow and icy conditions, according to the FAA.
Ground delays were possible at Newark, LaGuardia and John F. Kennedy International Airports after 11 a.m., according to the FAA.
At JFK, an average delay of 46 minutes started around 12:30 p.m., while an average delay of 18 minutes started at around 1 p.m. at LaGuardia, according to the FAA.
At Newark, ground delays and stops were expected through 8 p.m.
Central and southern New Jersey could get several inches of snow Monday, but New York City, the Hudson Valley and Long Island are expected to see less than an inch of accumulation.
