Topeka Public Schools will remain closed due to weather
TOPEKA (KSNT) - Topeka Public Schools (TPS) shared on Monday that school will remain closed due to road conditions.
On Monday, TPS shared that the school district will be closed on Tuesday Jan. 7.
Our transportation department and staff are still working to clear areas impacting schools, which will require more time to clear and address. In an effort to inform families as early as possible, due to the impact of the inclement weather resulting in snow, ice, and hazardous road conditions, Topeka Public Schools District will be closed on Tuesday, January 7, 2025.

27 News reached out to USD 501 on Jan. 3 to see how the district is planning ahead of the winter storm. Students were scheduled to return to the district’s classrooms on Monday, Jan. 6 for their first day of classes in 2025. Those classes were canceled on Sunday, Jan. 5.
