PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) -- A 69-year-old man was arrested after police said a woman was kidnapped and sexually assaulted in downtown Portland.
According to Portland police, a 74-year-old woman reported that on Dec. 23 she was returning to her Downtown Portland home with groceries and stopped to rest momentarily.
The victim said she was approached by a man who offered to help carry the bags, but when they arrived at her home, he barricaded the door and stopped her from leaving.
Over the course of three days, the woman told police she was sexually assaulted multiple times until finally, she was able to convince the man to leave on Dec. 26.
The suspect was quickly identified as Kenneth Gregory Williams and police contacted his parole officer who put out a warrant for his arrest.
Williams was taken into custody on Jan. 5 and after talking with detectives, he was booked on three counts of first-degree rape, first-degree kidnapping, first-degree coercion and first-degree burglary.
Police said that Williams is currently under investigation for other unrelated rape allegations and that there could be even more unreported cases.
