THE top ten classic cars which are set to soar in value by thousands this year have been revealed by car experts.
Petrolheads with a passion for classics will be chuffed to hear that this range of motors will skyrocket during 2025.
The Hagerty Bull Market report has mapped out the cars worth considering, with this year’s cohort including the humble Peugeot.
Getting your hands on some wheels set to spike in value might be a good way to invest in the year ahead.
Alternatively, it might be nice to own a motor that may be out of your price range in the future.
Either way, these 10 vehicles are worth keeping you’re eye on.
1. Alfa Romeo 147 GTA (2001-2005)
This modern classic has been steadily increasing in popularity since its release with some models selling for over £20,000.
It’s considered to be one of the best engines on the market, sporting a 3.2-litre six-cylinder engine, built into a hot hatchback design.
It goes from £8,500 and is revered as a great driving experience for the price.
2. Austin-Healey 3000 (1959-1967)
This well-loved British sports car is one of the most popular Healey models – and for good reason.
Motorists fell for its classic style and effortless design, but also for its drivability and charm.
It’s certainly no pocket change, ranging from £22,900 to £87,500, but the Healey is taking somewhat of a dip this year, currently sitting at £45,400.
According to the Hagerty Price Guide, despite still being a pricey motor, it’s much more affordable than it has been and could be a worthy investment.
3. Ferrari F355 (1994 – 1999)
One to keep you tabs on is the Ferrari F355 as it is pinned to have one of the fastest rising values.
It’s risen by 6.2 per cent in the past three years but it’s spiked specifically in the US which might signal a rise in popularity.
The motor operates with a 3.5-litre hand-built V8, a stylish design, and vintage pop-up headlights.
For these reasons, it’s caught the eye of classic collectors and might end up going for more than its average value today, which ranges from £50,600 to £105,000.
4. Maserati Ghibli (1992-1998)
This 90s model offers a certain road presence that other vintage cars are lacking with its high boot and flared wheel arches.
When it was originally released it even offered more bhp per litre than a McLaren F1, scoring it points on its drive as well as style.
It has been spotted to have good potential as there are various values on the market – but buyers have been handed a warning.
Despite being a good investment ranging from, £9,400 to £54,900, the Ghibli might be more expensive to maintain, with replacement parts costing a pretty penny.
5. Peugeot 106 Rallye (1991-2003)
Surprisingly, the good old Peugeot has made the list as a potential money-maker this year.
The trusty motor can be bought from £8,900 to £16,400 and boasts a range of reliable models.
From its practical functions to its loveable simplicity, the recognisable classic is easy to modify and always in demand.
6. Porsche 912 (1965-1969)
This model shared the design and build of its famous older brother but was hailed as more affordable.
The price remains relatively stable at £26,900 to £90,100, but The Hagerty Bull Market suggests its reliability is what makes it a good investment.
As a cheaper version of the 911, it still has a lot of similarities, not to mention the interior, bodywork, and suspension, but offers a slightly different price tag.
7. Range Rover P38 (1994-2001)
The Range Rover has remained a popular choice since its release and continues to make its mark as a classic off-roader.
Coming in at a mere £800 to £15,800, the car has the features of one of Range Rover’s fanciest models without requiring all the cash.
The wood and leather interior boasts a luxurious experience – one that could be getting rarer as limited editions with low mileage are now tricky to find.
8. Rolls-Royce Silver Shadow II (1977-1980)
If you’re looking for it all, the glamour, the retro feel, and the superb drive, the Rolls-Royce Silver Shadow II might be your best bet.
Despite them only rising by £100 in the past years, high-quality models have sold for a lot more.
With a buying price of £5,700 to £28,700 this luxury motor might be worth splashing out on.
9. Subaru Impreza P1 (2000-2001)
The Hagerty Bull Market has pinned this motor as a fabulous investment for 2025 if you can spot the right one.
This first-generation Subaru Impreza only has 1,000 units in circulation, making it pretty rare and rather valuable.
Available in Sonic Blue, the iconic rally car will be worth far more than what it’s currently selling for, which is 25,000 to £72,500.
The retro steering wheel, adjustable Recaro seats, and upgraded engine make it stand out from the crowd and could be this year’s revenue-making rally car.
10. Toyota RAV4 (1994-2000)
Priced at a tempting £600 to £5,100, it is no surprise the Toyota RAV4 is on the list.
From its first introduction in 1994, the sparkling model has been sold over 10million times.
The instantly recognisable motor is known for its spacious interior and gentle drive, with a 4-wheel drive for that extra smoothness.
Early models are tricky to get your hands on but if you manage to find one it can be worth around £5,000 if it’s in good nick.
