Salma Hayek Rewears Her Favorite Pair of Gravity-Defying Gucci Platform Sandals to the 2025 Golden Globes
Salma Hayek slipped on a pair of her go-to platform sandals to attend the 2025 Golden Globes on Jan. 5 at the Beverly Hilton. The towering shoes matched a burgundy Gucci dress.
The actress’s gown featured a sequined fitted bodice and a long fitted skirt that transitioned into a straight silhouette. The garment also included a sequined train that emphasized the formality of her look. Hayek accented the deep red color with turquoise jewelry.
When it came down to footwear, Hayek didn’t veer from her penchant for platforms. Her sandals resembled the shoes she’d previously selected to attend the Kering Foundation’s Caring for Women Dinner in September and the 60th Venice Benniale Pre-Opening Dinner in April. The sandals feature a towering block heel that provides a significant elevation in addition to a substantial platform making a statement in front.
The shoes also include a simple strap with mirrored inward-facing curves as well as thinner straps toward the back wrapping around the top of the foot and the ankle. The minimalist yet striking style likely hails from Gucci, an unsurprising choice for the creative who is married to the CEO of Gucci’s parent company Kering.
Additional brands worn to the Golden Globes included Jimmy Choo, Saint Laurent, Dolce & Gabbana and more.
The 82nd Golden Globes were held at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Los Angeles on Sunday, Jan. 5, 2025. The award ceremony celebrates excellence in the television and film industries from projects produced in 2024. Some of the titles that took home multiple awards last night included “The Brutalist,” “Emilia Pérez,” “Shōgun” and “Hacks.”
