Party City stores in NY, NJ are going to auction
NEW YORK (PIX11) – Party City locations across the country, including over 60 in New York and New Jersey, are headed to auction, according to A&G Real Estate Partners.
The “complete liquidation” includes nearly 700 stores nationwide, 26 in New Jersey and 46 in New York. Auction dates have not yet been set for the properties, and the sales are pending bankruptcy court approval, according to A&G Real Estate Partners.
The properties are advertised as turn-key spaces, ready to go immediately with favorable leases. In New Jersey, the stores are between 9,000 and 46,000 square feet large, and in New York the stores are between 7,000 and 30,000 square feet. Rent is as expensive as $68.36 per square foot.
In December 2024, Party City announced it would “wind down” its retail and wholesale operations before shutting all stores nationwide. It was a decision made after the company filed for bankruptcy citing inflation and other factors, according to a news release.
Now, all Party City stores are running closing sales of up to 60% off at its locations.
“Our stores are currently open, and we are offering incredible deals and deep discounts on merchandise at our locations nationwide. We invite you to hurry in right away to stock up on everything,” representatives of Party City said.
