How many inches of snow will New Jersey get?
NEW JERSEY (PIX11) – A winter storm warning is in effect for parts of southern New Jersey as snow falls in the area on Monday.
The warning was issued for Atlantic, Cape May, Cumberland and Salem counties through 1 a.m. on Tuesday. The National Weather Service warned that driving conditions could be dangerous during the evening commute.
Some areas could see one inch of snow coming down per hour, according to the NWS.
Central New Jersey will see around 1 to 2 inches of accumulation, PIX11 meteorologists said. Areas south of Toms River in Ocean County could see anywhere from 2 to 4 inches of snow.
Higher accumulations will be limited to southern New Jersey, according to PIX11 meteorologists. At least 6 to 8 inches of snow is possible for areas south of Atlantic City into Delaware.
The snow should stop falling in the afternoon, but could continue for parts of central and southern New Jersey, PIX11 meteorologists said.
