Grafton Lakes State Park to host 40th Winter Festival
GRAFTON, N.Y. (NEWS10) — Grafton Lakes State Park will be hosting its annual Winter Festival on Jan. 18. The event will feature outdoor activities with family-friendly recreational offerings, food vendors and additional indoor exhibits.
The fest, which will be marking its 40th anniversary this year, will kick off at 11:30 a.m. with the Polar Plunge. The plunge will benefit the OLV-OLS Food Pantry and will also include a contest for the silliest costume.
Other outdoor activities will include horse-drawn wagon rides, a snowball toss and free snowmobile rides from Grafton Trail Blazers. Inside, attendees will be able to meet live animals from Uncharted Wild as well as birds of prey with New York State Rehabilitation Council President Kelly Martin.
The Grafton Lakes State Park Winter Festival is a free event and will take place from 11:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. The park asks attendees to enter the event using the main entrance on Grafton Lakes State Park Way. A full schedule of activities with be available on the day of the festival.
