2025 Golden Globes Winners List (Updating Live)

After a high-spirited and insult-sprinkled opening monologue from comedian Nikki Glazer, Zoe Saldaña won the first trophy of the the 82nd Golden Globes: best supporting actress for “Emilia Perez.”

For his role in “A Real Pain,” Kieran Culkin scooped the award for best supporting actor. It was Culkin’s second Golden Globe after a previous win for “Succession.”

In television categories, TV veteran Jean Smart won her second Globe for her lead role in a comedy for “Hacks” (which also earned her the Emmy). Hiroyuki Sanada repeated his recent Emmy victory with a win for best dramatic lead actor for “Shōgun.” Tadanobu Asano (“Shōgun”) and Jessica Gunning (“Baby Reindeer”) were awarded for their supporting performances.

Spanish-language musical drama “Emilia Pérez” leads all competitors with 10 nominations, including three for actresses Karla Sofia Gascon, Saldaña and Selena Gomez. In the drama categories, “The Brutalist” and “Conclave” top nominations totals with seven and six.

This year’s awards mark the second Globes since the Hollywood Foreign Press Association was disbanded amid accusations of discrimination and improper behavior within the organization. In 2023, Penske Media Eldridge acquired all rights to the Golden Globes from the HFPA and the ceremony found a new home on CBS.

Studios and celebrities have appeared to embrace the new version of the Globes in which awards are determined by a voting body of more than 300 journalists and critics, most of them based outside the United States, instead of the fewer than 100 L.A.-based full- and part-time journalists that used to pick the nominees and winners.

The Globes are airing live on CBS and streaming on Paramount+. Emmy, Grammy and Golden Globe nominated comedian Nikki Glaser will make history as the Globe’s first woman to host solo.
