Tottenham protesters are stuck with Daniel Levy for the long-haul – Expert says
Football finance expert Stefan Borson has spoken about the possibility of Tottenham finding a buyer and the impact of fan protests against Daniel Levy.

Over the last five years, Tottenham have been caught in a vicious cycle of managerial merry-go-rounds, with each boss enjoying a promising start before being sacked soon after.
Ange Postecoglou is the latest man to go through the same cycle, but this time, a lot of the Spurs fans are pointing the finger at the club’s top brass rather than on their head coach.
There have been protests calling for Daniel Levy and ENIC to leave outside the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium ahead of matches, while supporters have also chanted against the Spurs chairman during matches.
Stefan Borson on the impact of protests on possible Spurs sale
Stefan Borson pointed out that Tottenham’s valuation has simply been set too high for any investors to consider a full takeover of the club, insisting that the protests are not going to hasten a sale.
Speaking to Football Insider, the football finance expert said about the North London club: “They are in a very good position financially because they have got a very big stadium and are a central London club. However, sitting in mid-table in the Premier League is not going to entice interest in the football club. They have got to balance that.
“It’s very unlikely that protests are going to remove Daniel Levy or the ownership of the club. They have got very high aspirations for the value of Tottenham, and I think it’s going to be very difficult to find a buyer at that kind of level.
“They have talked about more than £3 billion. It’s just going to be very hard to find somebody to take that on, so I think they are stuck with Levy, who indirectly owns 25 per cent, and the rest of the group that own the rest.”
Do fans have the power to get Levy out?
Protests alone are not going to force Levy and ENIC into a sale unless someone is willing to meet their valuation of the club.
However, that does not mean that the protests are inconsequential. It can be useful in keeping the pressure up on the Tottenham hierarchy and ensuring that they know that their decisions are under an increasing amount of scrutiny.
