Masked Singer fans convinced Teeth is a cheeky chappy footballer and I’m A Celeb star
IT was all smiles on the Masked Singer last night, especially when Teeth took to the stage.
During the first episode of the long-awaited sixth series of the show, a host of celebrities tried to guess the true identities of the masked singers.
And now fans are convinced they already know who one of the singers really is.
Last night’s celeb panel, which included Jonathan Ross, Mo Gillian, Maya Jama, Davina McCall and special guest Sir Mo Farah, were asked to choose the running order for the night.
Teeth, Snail, Tattoo, Kingfisher, Spaghetti Bolognese and Dressed Crab were all chosen to perform during the first show, with newbie judge Maya choosing Teeth to perform first.
Clues for the judges and audience included “I’ve always been a big mouth” and “I’ve bitten off more than I can chew.”
Other clues were: “I know how to tackle the Masked Singer” and “going for gold” leaving the celeb detectives fighting tooth and nail to guess Teeth’s true identity.
The masked singer then took to the stage to sing Tony Christie’s ‘Is This The Way to Amarillo’ with the concealed celebrity walking on stage wearing an outrageous outfit depicting joke wind-up teeth.
They also shared the riddle: “I’ve been schooled in variety, I have lots in the mix, the way I perform knocks the audience for six.”
The celeb judge guesses were varied, with Maya guessing Rob Beckett, Jonathan suggesting Rylan Clark or Alan Carr, Davina, who insisted Teeth is a woman, predicted Alex Scott while Mo guessed Jimmy Bullard.
Viewers were on Mo’s side and convinced the singer was known for his fancy footwork more than his smile.
Flocking to X, formerly Twitter, fans gave their opinion on who the celeb gnashers might be.
One said: “Early shout Jimmy Bullard for Teeth,” while another said: “Masked Singer cheered me up. Teeth – Jimmy Bullard!”
Jimmy is an English former pro footballer, coach and TV personality.
He was known for his passion, humour (and smile) on the pitch, retiring from football in 2012 due to knee problems.
Following his football career he starred on ITV’s I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here.
Appearing on the fourteenth season in 2014, the footballer finished 10th place during his time in the Australian jungle.
The soccer star also co-hosted the Saturday morning Sky Sports show Soccer AM and appeared in The Magic Sponge with Jimmy Bullard, Rob Beckett and Ian Smith in 2015.
