Snow in NYC expected to hit Monday: What to know
NEW YORK (PIX11) – Winter is here and snow is expected to cover New York and New Jersey in the coming days.
At least two inches of snow is expected to descend on New York and New Jersey on Monday, according to the National Weather Service. The weather is expected to impact morning and evening commutes.
In a social media post, forecasters from NWS say the storm track is still uncertain so snow total amounts are still subject to change.
New York City Mayor Eric Adams also advised city dwellers to pay attention to weather forecasts for Monday and to sign up for NotifyNYC alerts to get the latest information.
Representatives for NJ Transit warned commuters to allow for extra travel time on Monday as winter weather could potentially impact service.
Amid the potential for snow, forecasters also say an Arctic blast will bring lows in the teens starting Monday night and lasting through Friday.
