THE LOWDOWN
The Hibees come into this one off the back of an impressive run of form. We’re currently unbeaten in our last five league games, having picked up 13 points out of a possible 15.
That run of form included wins over Ross County, Aberdeen, Hearts and Kilmarnock at the tail-end of 2024, which saw Hibernian Head Coach David Gray named Scottish Premiership Manager of the Month for December. CLICK HERE to read more!
In our first match of the New Year we were held to a 1-1 draw with St Johnstone, with Dwight Gayle’s late strike cancelling out Nicky Clark’s first half penalty.
We currently sit seventh in the William Hill Premiership, two points adrift of the top half of the table.
TEAM NEWS
Gray was without several First Team regulars for our trip to McDiarmid Park on Thursday – with Kieron Bowie, Mykola Kuharevich, Marvin Ekpiteta, Joe Newell and Elie Youan all unavailable due to injury.
Bowie, Kuharevich and Ekpiteta all remain longer-term doubts, whilst Newell and Youan will be assessed in the lead up to the fixture.
THE VISITORS
Rangers will also come into this one with confidence after an impressive 3-0 victory in the Old Firm.
Ianis Hagi, Robin Propper and Danilo were all on target at Ibrox as The Gers started 2025 on the front foot.
Philippe Clement’s side have been solid at home, winning nine of their 10 league matches at Ibrox. However, they have struggled on the road – only taking 11 points from a possible 27 available on their travels.
The last time the two sides met it ended in a narrow 1-0 victory for the Glasgow sides with Tom Lawrence’s long-range effort the difference between the teams back in September., 2024.
