There were only 218 models made, manufactured from 1956 until 1959 – making the motor super-rare.
It boasts a 3.2-litre alloy V-8 engine paired with a four-speed manual gearbox.
The exterior’s original Old ivory colour was changed to black after it went through a restoration in the late 1980s.
Meanwhile, a luxurious grey suede interior has been fitted on the seats.
There are centre-lock Rudge wheels and the hard top roof has been expertly colour matched.
The chassis 70136 will be going under the hammer with RM Sothebys as part of their Paris 2025 auction.
Bidding will start taking place from February 4 to 5.
The listing reads: “Renowned New York importer Max Hoffman played a pivotal role in the creation of the beautiful 507 Roadster.
“The resulting cruiser, which was beautifully styled by Count Albrecht Goertz and equipped with a 3.2-litre alloy V-8 engine paired with a four-speed manual gearbox, ranks as possibly the most desirable design ever to emerge wearing the famous roundel badge.

“Famously owned by the likes of Elvis Presley, John Surtees, Bernie Ecclestone, and Ursula Andress, the BMW 507 Roadster is among the most glamorous automotive creations of all time.”
The car has a May 5 1958 production date and there were only 218 of the updated Series II models made.
It is understood the famous motor was in Germany throughout the 1980s before being snapped up in 1988.
It underwent a six year restoration to transform it back into its formal glory.
“The owner reports that Munich-based marque specialist Brummer carried out the mechanical overall, while the bodywork was tended to by Hagl in Attenkirchen, Bavaria,” said the listing.
“The total price for the work is said to have amounted to 560,000 Deutsche Mark.”
This would be around £237K if the work were to be done today.
It comes as an ultra-rare McLaren Senna XP, just one of ten in existence, is up for auction.
The powerful motor has just 47 miles on the clock and carries a 4.0L twin-turbo V8.
Plus, a glam 1950s supercar complete with a blistering V8 engine and futuristic magnesium bodywork has been listed on auction for £5.5million.
