A source has told The Sun: “It’s early days but Danny Beard is chatting to ITV about going into the Big Brother house.
“They’re a fan of the show and did a whole week on Late And Live and went down a storm with viewers.”
The Sun has contacted ITV for comment.
Danny on Late and Live certainly was a success with viewers, with many saying he was the “best panellist.”
One person wrote afterwards: “Danny has probably been the best panelist they’ve had so far this series – he’s genuinely funny. He’s the exact vibe we need for L&L. They should have more from drag race on as they are always fun when on panels.”
And many agreed with their sentiments.
Daniel Curtis – who goes by the stage name Danny Beard – is a drag performer and singer, who shot to fame on Britain’s Got Talent.
Danny is now one of the UK’s leading drag acts, and is building up an impressive TV career.
Danny won the fourth series of RuPaul’s Drag Race UK in 2022.
They were the sixth bearded act ever to take part in the Drag Race franchise and the first to appear on one judged by RuPaul.
They have also forged a comedy career, and took part in Channel 4’s Comedy Roast, which was in aid of Stand Up To Cancer.
The popular star also thrilled fans when appearing on Hollyoaks in March 2023.
Last year, Danny also announced a Radio 1 gig as they joined the BBC family and took over Katie Thistleton’s weekend shows.
Discussing the exciting next chapter at the time, Danny told the Mirror: “The initial meeting that I had with the head of Radio 1 [Aled Haydn Jones] – who I will forever be grateful to as he really did throw a bone my way – he did say ‘I’m either making the best decision Radio 1 has made in years or the biggest mistake, so please be good’.”
They continued: “The thing is people don’t know is yes, I won Drag Race but prior to that I’ve been in the entertainment industry for 10 years and hosted things for 10 years.
“I’ve presented on Gaydio for a long period of time, I’ve presented my own TV show on BBC Three – I’m not a novice with no idea how to speak down a microphone.
“I’ve had a podcast for two years that goes out weekly – I’ve got a lot of things under my belt and initially when you see [critical] comments, you want to reply and say ‘ACTUALLY… I’ve done all of this – look at my CV!’ but in reality TV, those people who kick off don’t care, so I don’t care!”
And speaking about their plans for the future, they told Gay Times: “I would love to work in TV.
“I would love to host television, I’d love my show eventually. I’d like to crack TV presenting and I think I can do it.
“It’s always been a dream, so let’s see if we can do it.”
