Geraghty again named Warren Co. Board of Supervisors chair
WARREN COUNTY, N.Y. (NEWS10) — Warrensburg Supervisor Kevin Geraghty was unanimously selected as chairman of the Warren County Board of Supervisors for 2025 on Friday. This will mark his fourth consecutive term in the position.
“I am humbled and honored that my colleagues have the confidence in me to chair our Board of Supervisors again in 2025, and I would like to thank everyone who supported me,” Geraghty said in a press release. “We will continue to strive to keep the county in good financial shape in 2025 and the years to follow.”
Geraghty also spent four years as chair between 2013 and 2016. Preparing for another year in the position, he reflected on the previous term and pledged to continue efforts to improve the lives of county residents.
“2024 was a challenging year as costs rose and unfunded state mandates increased to impact our budget,” Geraghty said. “I look forward to working with each of my colleagues on the board and all of our great Warren County employees to continue to make Warren County an outstanding place for all who live, work and visit here.”
Geraghty was sworn into the position on Friday. He plans to give a State of the County address at the next Board of Supervisors meeting on Jan. 17.
