A source provided some insight into how Ryan Reynolds really responded to Justin Baldoni allegedly “fat shaming” Blake Lively.
In a lawsuit that the 40-year-old actor filed against The New York Times, he alleged that he was he was “aggressively berated” by Ryan in front of a group of celebrities.
Justin said that he was accused of “fat shaming” Blake because he asked a trainer how much she weighed before filming a stunt for It Ends With Us.
“The confrontation that followed was so aggressive that Baldoni felt compelled to offer repeated apologies,” the lawsuit reads. “Baldoni, in an effort to avoid further confrontation with Lively and Reynolds and rebuild rapport with his co-star, continued to bend to her will.”
However, a source is questioning Justin‘s telling of the story.

An insider told TMZ that Ryan was “angry and stern” when discussing the topic with Justin. His response to the actor and director was described as “impassioned.”
They added that Justin went into the meeting aware of what would be discussed.
Another claim that the source denied was that other celebrities were present for the conversation.
The source also took issue with the way the meeting was characterized in the lawsuit … in particular the mention of the penthouse where other stars were randomly milling around. The meeting was at the home of Reynolds and Lively, but our source says other celebs were not coming and going.
