Snow showers possible in NY, NJ with temps in the 30s
NEW YORK (PIX11) -- A weak storm system will pass to the south of the area Friday as high pressure will move in from the west.
The region will see mostly cloudy skies Friday afternoon with snow showers developing to the south of the city. Temperatures will be below average with a high of 38 degrees in the city and mid to upper 30s in the suburbs.
Saturday will be mostly cloudy and cold as arctic air will overspread the region during the afternoon. The high temperature will be 34 degrees in the city and low to mid-30s in the suburbs.
Sunday will be sunny early followed by increasing clouds in the afternoon as low pressure will approach the region from the west. The high will be 35 degrees in the city and low to mid-30s in the suburbs.
Monday will be cloudy with snow developing as a storm will move through the region. The exact track of this system will determine exactly what if any effects it will have on our area. Temperatures will be in the low 30s for much of the area.
Tuesday will be cloudy early followed by clearing skies in the afternoon with a high of 30 in the city and low to mid-30s in the suburbs.
Wednesday will feature a mix of sun and clouds with a high of 32 degrees in the city, and the low to mid-30s in the suburbs.
Thursday will be sunny and cold as Arctic high pressure continues to dominate the area. The high will be 30 in the city and the upper 20s to low 30s in the suburbs.
