Moment female plane passenger throws her drink at stewardess before tossing her wig and attacking other travellers
THIS is the shocking moment a plane passenger threw her drink at a stewardess before tossing her wig and attacking other travellers.
Some onboard could be heard shouting and screaming as the mid-air bust up worsened.
According to those onboard, the outrageous incident began once the plane had left Durban on December 26.
Cabin crew refused to serve more alcohol to the woman who has since been identified as South African Broadcasting Corporation (SABC) Brand Manager, Nobuntu ‘Nobs’ Mkhize.
After the top TV boss reportedly became drunk, she cpuld be seen hurling her drink at a flight attendant.
Loudly bombarding her with abuse, a number of other passengers stood up to discover what the commotion was about.
Nearby members of the general public could be seen trying to help flight attendants restrain the woman, stretching over their seats.
Mkhize could be heard shouting “you cannot do this” as she threw her drink directly at an air stewardess’ face, who desperately held her hands up.
Others on the plane gasped at the appalling moment which saw nearby passengers covered by the liquid – as one woman duckedg to avoid the splash.
Some of those nearby recorded the moment on their phone before the FlySafair flight could reach its destination in Cape Town, South Africa.
Mkhize could also be heard shouting “menial” in the direction of crew as she struggled against being restrained.
A number of passengers, fed up with the angry outburst, were also filmed piling in to help restrain her while others jeered.
In a bizarre twist, Mkhize whipped off her blonde wig and continued to rant from her seat.
She only let up her tirade when police board the plane in Cape Town and escort her off the aircraft.
Mkhize later denied being drunk and said she planned to sue the airline, according to local media reports.
FlySafair spokesperson Kirby Gorden said: “We condemn any behaviour of this nature.
“Flight attendants have a primary duty as safety officers and interfering with their duties is a criminal offence.
“This passenger will be placed on our no-fly list and will not be welcome on future FlySafair flights.”
The Sun has approached SABC for comment.
