Topeka hospital welcomes first baby of 2025
TOPEKA (KSNT) - Medical staff at Stormont Vail Health welcomed in their first baby of the year shortly after 2025 began.
Taylor Bugg with Stormont Vail Health announced in a press release on Jan. 2 that the first baby born at its hospital in Topeka for 2025 came at 3:07 a.m. on Jan. 1. The baby, August Martell, weighed in at eight pounds and seven ounces, measuring 21 and-a-quarter inches in length. His parents are Kerstin and Ethan Martell.
Bugg said Stormont Vail's Birthplace offers expecting mothers a compassionate place where they can find high-quality care.
